Twill Fabric — Item 8748
COTTON-POLYESTER
TWILL
156-158 CM
Item 8748 is a 76% cotton 24% polyester woven fabric in a hard-wearing twill construction, piece-dyed in a warm Ochre Field (ochre) tone and finished at a substantial, confident 340 GSM. It is the kind of grounded, earthy cloth that reads equally at home in workwear, uniform programs and relaxed structured tailoring — a quiet, dependable surface with real body.
The cotton content gives the cloth its natural, dry hand and breathability; the polyester component adds tensile strength, dimensional stability and wrinkle resistance, and helps the cloth keep its line through a long working day. Together they make a fabric that is substantial without being stiff — a mid-weight base first, and a versatile bottom-weight second.
It cuts with equal authority into jackets, trousers, workwear and structured shirting — and because the Ochre Field ground is a warm, low-saturation neutral, it pairs effortlessly with both muted and deep shades across a collection. Available in an in-stock shade range, with custom dyeing to your Pantone TCX reference on request.

FEATURE 01
Warm Ochre Field Tone
A low-saturation, earthy ochre ground that reads warm and grounded under any light. The signature shade of this quality — versatile as a neutral, never loud.
|
FEATURE 02
Substantial 340 GSM Body
Mid-weight with real body: structured enough for jackets and trousers, yet flexible enough to tailor cleanly. A dependable bottom-weight cloth.
|
|
FEATURE 03
Cotton-Polyester Balance
Cotton brings the natural dry hand and breathability; polyester brings strength, dimensional stability and wrinkle resistance. The pair holds its line through long wear.
|
FEATURE 04
Hard-Wearing Twill Face
A tight, even twill with a disciplined diagonal — matte, hard-wearing and tailor-friendly. Stable in bulk: no deformation, no color spotting, lot after lot.
|
|
TWILL — TIGHT DIAGONAL CROSSING
Light cell = warp yarn over weft · Dark cell = interlacing point. The diagonal interlacing rhythm builds the clean, even twill of the Ochre Field face.
|
The twill construction is what gives Item 8748 its sturdy, stable character. The diagonal distributes tension evenly across the cloth, so the surface resists abrasion and keeps its line through heavy use.
The cotton-polyester combination works at the fibre level: cotton carries breathability and the natural dry hand; polyester carries strength, shrinkage control and shape memory. The result is a substantial fabric that behaves like a much more demanding cloth.
